What’s in a name? Sometimes EVERYTHING.
“ciGODDESS” is a wonderful name that’s perfect for my mission…
BUT, I didn’t come up with that name. The credit for that goes to one of my mentor coaches, the brilliant entrepreneur and branding expert Jennifer Kem 🙌
Thanks to her, I had the opportunity and the courage to stand on my crutches in front of a crowded room and pitch for my first time ever in her Idea To Impact pitch contest (and I actually WON! 🏆). Jen knew I wanted to expand my work beyond helping only women with MS to serving all women with chronic illnesses and she had the idea of “ciGODDESS” for my platform name. The second I saw it, I knew it was perfect for EXACTLY what I wanted to do…and I would never have come up with it myself.
In all honesty, besides the pandemic hitting me a lot harder than expected, it took a while for me to really start putting myself out there because I didn’t feel worthy enough yet to live up to that name. I take the promise of that name—helping women with chronic illnesses show their true goddess selves—very seriously, and I put in a lot of work this past year to live into it and make sure the services and resources I provide can do just that. And now I feel confident that they do.
Jen saw that I could do that before I could.
Sometimes it takes a coach, mentor, or simply someone who’s on that next level already to see the potential in you and hold the vision and the space for you when you’re unable to see it yourself yet…knowing in their wisdom that you can get there. Jen did that for me.
I hope to be able to do that for all of you who need me to while you build your wings. ❤️
